Despite being a classic compressor model, the Swan is extremely quiet for its size. We measured it at a moderate 42dB when it was running. It's considerably quieter than models of 10 years ago, and much quieter than most of the fridge freezers on our Best Buy chart.

The salad drawer was a little more erratic, fluctuating between 5oC and just below freezing.
